To encourage the physical, intellectual emotional, social, spiritual and character development of young people so that they take a constructing place in society as a member of their local, national & international community school has introduced the training of Scout & Guide. The mission of scouting is to contribute to the education of young people through a value system based on the scout promise and law to help build a better world where people are self fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

The purpose of Scouting-Guiding is to develop the inherent potential of the young people by providing them a number of structure activities in order to make them physically, mentally, socially spiritually strong and useful citizen of the nation.

The aim is achieved through a combination of activities and programmes offered at the unit level and a structured syllabus which offers programmes and activities through progressive advancement scheme.

Shaping able leaders  and useful citizens -‘Duty, Unity and Discipline’
SGSS School has been successfully conducting NCC classes for students since 2010. The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
Cadets of SGSS School have conducted and participated in many drives like ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan’, ‘Fit India’, a visit to a nearby village to sensitize the villagers about cleanliness and the like. Dipsites were also a part of training for ‘Riffle Shooting’ which was completed by them enthusiastically.
The aims of NCC – ‘Developing Character, comradeship, discipline and a secular outlook’ are being met in the portals of SGSS School.
